446Sports is more than thrilled to announce that Award winning writer and Champion for Sports Information John Marcase is joining the 446 family as a freelance writer. John will contribute a weekly article found only on our 446Sports webpage at www.446sports.com. His first article will drop this Monday!

A lifelong resident of Central Louisiana, John Marcase has been covering sports in the area and Louisiana for more than three decades. He spent 20 ½ years at The Town Talk, working in a variety

of roles, including Sports Editor and Assistant Managing Editor.

Under his leadership, The Town Talk sports section was one of the best in the nation for its size. For the past 11 years, he has worked in public relations and marketing while continuing to write

a weekly sports column for The Town Talk. His columns have been named best high school column in three of the past four Louisiana Sports Writers Association writing contests.

Marcase currently serves as Vice President of the LSWA and is a member of its Louisiana Sports f Fame selection committee.
